Ralph Ippolito

President

Ralph was born and raised in Italy with his family. In pursuit of the American dream, he and his family came to America with a passion to experience a life of opportunity and path for achieving success. Now having over 30 years of transportation and logistics experience, his reputation precedes him. Ralph started his career in the wine and spirits business with a major distributor based in New Jersey. His responsibility as traffic manager involved not only the inbound domestic transportation FTL, but also, all international FCL freight. In 1984, Ralph started Inter-Metro Freight, Inc., an asset based port drayage and rail intermodal company operating in the tri-state area. Over the years Ralph expanded that service nationally to include Heavy Weight Transport, Inc. Today his companies provide port drayage service at all major ports with primary focus on heavy weight container cargo. Understanding that customers need service beyond the port, Ralph broadened services to include transloading, warehousing and most recently truck brokerage. Ralph believes in the rule of fairness and understands that trust and loyalty are earned. His word is his bond.

Brian Kohn

Executive Vice President

With a BA in Business Management and 10 years of homegrown experience in drayage & warehousing, Brian developed his ability to manage customer relations and drive operational efficiencies right here with Inter- Metro Group.  He started at the ground level learning about the industry and understanding our business, and now oversees all operations nationally.

CJ Castiglia

Process Director

Our most recent team member, Christopher (CJ) joins the team with five years of logistics experience and a BS in Supply Chain Management.  Working in such positions as Dispatcher and Logistics Coordinator before becoming an Operations Manager, CJ understands the industry on a detailed level. Finding his niche in operational efficiency and process improvement, CJ works to leverage IT systems to provide the best tools for our associates and the highest service for our customers’ needs.

Masud Chowdhury

Vice President of IT

When Masud joined us in 2004, he immediately displayed an extraordinary ability to analyze our business needs. With over 30 years of software development experience and a Masters in Computer Science, he has helped us tremendously in building our business strategy as the main architect of our home grown iTMS (Integrated Trucking Management System) and Warehouse Management System. Both applications not only position our group to succeed, but also allows us to remain at the forefront of an ever-evolving logistics and warehousing industry.  Besides continuing application development, Masud also overlooks and manages all IT operations nationally.

Neil Luciano

Director of Sales

A veteran in the industry, Neil has 30 years of transportation experience, with his start in 1989.  Neil has 15 years of experience working with on-dock warehousing in Chester, PA, involved in crossdocking, short term storage, and domestic transportation.  For the past 3 years, Neil has overseen the development of IMFI’s local warehouse, with a heavy emphasis on efficient and quick turn-around times for crossdocking and transloading.

Bob Giarratano

VP Business Development-Consultant

Bob shares his years of experience having held senior positions starting with his families IMC/Brokerage business (Keystone Terminals, Inc), later acquired by Pacer International and then final acquisition with XPO Logistics. Having achieved many years of business success, his reputation precedes him. Bob has responsibility for our business development, provides consulting services and also manages our sales team. His full understanding of the transportation and logistics business complements our business culture and success. Bob brings a discipline to our business that achieves customer expectations, provides leadership by example, keeps the business simple and shares a passion that completes our team.
